Archeologists have found a 2,000 year old sandal at the Roman Fort of Vindolanda, just down the road from us. “It would have been worn by a wealthy Roman child” a spokeswoman for the Fort said. Source, The Sunday Telegraph, 26th September 2016.
We hosted a Macmilllan Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September, in aid of a charity close to so many people’s hearts. There were cakes, biscuits and baking disasters galore – we are very much looking forward to the next one! Some £160 raised.
