Recently someone took the time to send us a lovely e-mail, it’s always nice to receive such compliments so we thought we would share it with you….
“Hi Just wanted to say that we stayed with you last night and thought your staff were fantastic. The two ladies at breakfast (I regret not paying attention to their name badges!) were particularly good, making our children feel welcome which isn’t always the case in bars and hotels. The food in the bar was great too. All in all a fab visit and we plan to return in summer. Thanks Kelli Fielding”
We love it when our Guests bring the whole family be they 2 or 4 legged, they are always welcome at The Twice Brewed.
Archeologists have found a 2,000 year old sandal at the Roman Fort of Vindolanda, just down the road from us. “It would have been worn by a wealthy Roman child” a spokeswoman for the Fort said.

The beautiful Sycamore Tree very close to us on Hadrian’s Wall, used in the filming of the epic film Robin Hood, has been shortlisted for the “Tree of the Year” Award by the Woodland Trust. People have been invited to vote for their favourite tree and the winner will benefit from a grant of £1,000 to pay for a check-up by an arboriculturalist, educational materials and even a celebrity visit – do you think we can get Kevin Costner to pop over??
