DARK SKY PARK
Experience the incredible starry skies above Northumberland with astronomers from the Stargazing team at the Twice Brewed Inn. Located within the protected Dark Sky park, the venue benefits from minimal light pollution, meaning you’ll have a clear view of the Milky Way arching across the sky and see thousands more stars than can normally be spotted from our towns and cities. WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll enjoy an inspiring astronomical presentation, ideally suited for beginners and novices, before heading outdoors for a laser guided tour of the constellations. Using large aperture telescopes, you'll be able to observe planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. In poor weather, our team is ready with fun, interactive indoor activities and of course, when there's a gap in the clouds, we'll get you outside straight away.
EXPERT GUIDES
The Stargazing team share a common enthusiasm for astronomy and an eagerness to excite and inspire. The team comprises enthusiastic amateur astronomers - most of whom are former Kielder Observatory volunteers - as well as several academic experts and instrument scientists. We communicate our passion and knowledge in a way that is accessible to all, regardless of age or experience, and always prioritise the practical side of astronomy.
OUR OBSERVATORY
With our new custom-built on-site observatory and a whole host of specialist equipment as well as experienced and highly knowledgeable guides, you'll be able to view the stars with more clarity than ever before. The roof of our observatory slides open allowing for uninterrupted views of the skies - and all within arms-reach of our wonderful restaurant, pub, and hotel so you can make the most of your experience!

Have you ever wanted to take photos of the night sky?
Whether its photos of the Milkyway, Shooting stars, the Aurora or a timelapse, our workshops will help you get started and weather dependent we will go out into the dark Skies of Northumberland and practice what we learn in our 3 hour workshops.
